Cops - To Protect and Serve?

Can't these people find something useful to do instead of harassing honest, hardworking, tax paying citizens who are out to relax and unwind after a hard week of work. I only hope that the cops understand that these OWI, DUI and DWI laws paint the cops in a very negative light to the public at large. People ask why the police are not out preventing and solving serious crimes instead of harassing good citizens on the highways.

It is a disservice to our good police officers to make them enforce a law as arbitrary and unfair as the BAC .08 law. Officers are very capable of spotting and stopping truly impaired drivers. We do not need to pass laws that make our police officers stop and arrest unimpaired drivers. The .08 BAC law serves only to place the cops at odds with many good citizens who enjoy moderate drinking in a social setting. (Since when did it become a good thing to drink at home instead of a social setting???)
